The Unicorn Map

Terms

What you buy. A plot is a rectangle of pixels over land on The Unicorn Map (oceans are not for sale), shown with the colour or image, title, message and link you choose, for as long as the site runs. You do not buy land, a share of the company, a token, or any right to profits.

Not an investment. Pixels are a place on a shared map. They are not an investment, are not expected to gain value, and nothing on this site promises that they will. “Unicorn” describes the map’s collective goal of one billion pixels, not a return to buyers.

Price. Pixels are priced by where they are on the map, in that country’s currency where it has a local price (in Chile, CLP 1.000 per pixel) and otherwise US$1 per pixel. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Content rules. No illegal content, hate, harassment, sexual content, violence, impersonation, malware or scam links, or anything you don’t have the right to publish. We may hide a plot’s image, text and link if it breaks these rules; the pixels stay yours but are shown blank, and no refund is owed for hidden content.

Refunds. If a payment arrives for pixels that were no longer available, it is refunded automatically. Otherwise sales are final.

Privacy. We keep the email Stripe collects at checkout to contact you about your plot. We never show it publicly or sell it. Network addresses are only used, hashed, to limit abuse.
